PSL: Akpeyi Nominated For Goalkeeper Of The Season

By Sampson Adedeji After a spectacular season for South Africa premier league side Kaizerchief, Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has been nominated for goalkeeper of the season award, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Akpeyi joined the Amakhosi in the winter of 2019 as a replacement for injured South Africa first choice goalkeeper Khune Itumeleng. Since then he has been number for the club posting amazing performance and it was difficult to place him on the bench when Khune return. He was nominated alongside Cranes of Uganda goalkeeper Dennis Onyango and Ronwen Williams. Akpeyi made 25 appearances for the club the season as they finished second on the table behind Mamelodi Sundown.
