PSL: Kaizer Chiefs Confirms Akpeyi's Absence
By Sampson Adedeji
South Africa premier league side Kaizerchief has confirmed that Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi will not be available for the midweek game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Warri Wolves goaltender was replaced by Bvuma last weekend in Kaizerchief 2-2 draw against Bloemfontein Celtics.
Ahead of the midweek clash against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, team handler Gavin Hunt said Akpeyi has been ruled of the game due to head injury he had in the last match.
"The first one, Daniel [Akpeyi] got a hell of a bang on his head, so that's obviously a concussion," he said.
Akpeyi was confirmed out alongside other 4 players.
Akpeyi, Mathoho, Itumeleng Khune (shoulder), Lebohang Lesako (knee) and Khama Billiat (rehabilitation) are all ruled out of tomorrow's fixture," Hunt added.
