Qatar 2022: Okoye Sets Eye On Ticket Sampson Adedeji Recovering Nigeria's Super Eagles and Sparta Rothedam first goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has set his eyes on Qatar 2022 World Cup qualification ticket, BSNsports.com.ng can report. With Okoye in goal, Super Eagles garnered 13 points to finish top of its group and secured a playoff ticket. The light-skinned player made his debut for Nigeria in 2019 in an international friendly match against Brazil when he came in as a substitute for injured Francis Uzoho. While speaking to ESPN, Okoye said they are resolved to secure the qualification ticket no matter the situation. "I am very sure because one thing I learned is that when it comes to the point where we have to, we are going to do everything to get the win. "I saw this before I entered the Super Eagles, but I also saw it while I'm with the Super Eagles, so I'm very sure that no matter what, we're going to get a ticket for a World Cup," he told ESPN. Nigeria will get to know its opponent in the playoff round of the qualifier in January 2022 and Okoye is still expected to be part of the team.
