Qatar 2022 WCQ: Injury Rocks Cape Verde Camp Ahead Of Nigeria's Clash

Ahead of the all-important World cup qualifier against Nigeria's Super Eagles, the news coming from the camp of Cape Verde is not palatable has one of the team's key players has been ruled out due to injury, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The Cape Verdans played the opening group game against the Central African Republic in Cameroon with the whole of invited 27 players intact and they secured a 1-1 draw.
The report from the camp suggests that striker Ricardo Gomes has been ruled out of the country's second match against Nigeria.
After the game against CAR, Gomes was confirmed injured and was subjected to conditioner training to recover for the second game.
They held their first training session at the Adérito Senna Stadium venue of the match and Gomes continued his recovery training session together with the players.
The team medical department on Sunday confirmed that Gomes will not be fit enough to take part in the game against Nigeria and he was immediately decamped.
Gomes has scored 4 goals in 16 appearances for Cape Verde.
