Rabat 2019: Makanjuola, Chinonso inspires Flying Eagles to victory

Nigeria's Flying Eagles secured a much needed victory over Amajita of South Africa in the second group match of the men football event of the ongoing 12th All African Games in Rabat Morocco.

The match played at FAR centre in Rabat saw Nigeria defeated it's counterparts from South Africa 2-1 in a keenly contested encounter.

The 36 Lions striker Collin Sor put Nigeria ahead in The 27th minute off an assist from Saeed Jubril.

South Africa leveled 55th minute through Ofentse Mashiane with a powerful shot, following a superb develivery by Siyanda Msani from a set piece.

After their equalizer, Amajita took over the game from the Nigeria side but the introduction of Makanjuola Success and Chinoso Emeka for Sor and Saeed created more threat for South Africa.

Ahmad Ghali netted the winning goal for Nigeria in the 77th minute with an assist from Ibrahim Abubakar.

The victory ensured Nigeria has 4 points from 2 games with last match against host Morocco to come on Friday.
