12th AG: Nigeria's Ekevwo emerges men's 100m champions

Nigeria's track star Raymond Ekevwo has emerged men's 100 meters champions at the ongoing 12th African Games in Rabat Morocco.

Ekevwo clocked 9.96s to clinch gold medal and dumped Ivorian Arthur Cisse (9.97s) to 2nd and compatriot Usheoritse Itsekiri (10.02s) to 3rd positions respectively.

The outcome of the final race means Nigeria has succeded in winning a gold and bronze medal in the final.

It also means that Nigeria now has 3 sprinters Divine Oduduru, Raymond Ekevwo and Usheoritse Itsekiri that has qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games
