Team Nigeria Wins 18 Medals On 2019 African Games Day 15

Team Nigeria on Friday 30th August 2019 won 18 medals added to 103 they had prior to Day 15 of the 2019 African Games in Morocco to extend the medal haul to 121, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The 18 medals comprises of 4 gold, 2 silver and 12 bronze medals to consolidate their second position on the overall medals table.

Team Nigeria had on Thursday displaced South Africa from second position and on Friday won more medals to extend their lead and prove their superiority over perennial rivals, South Africa.

Team Egypt at the zenith of the medals table also added to their laurels on Friday as they increase the number to 264 medals with 99 gold, 96 silver and 69 bronze. South Africa in 3rd position with 36 gold, 26 silver and 25 bronze taking their overall medals to 87

Algeria maintain the fourth position with 32 gold, 30 silver and 59 bronze (121 medals in total).

Closely follow is the hosts, Morocco who have 30 gold, 31 silver and 44 bronze medals comfortably seated at the 5th position.

Team Nigeria on Friday won 2 gold, 3 silver in wrestling, one gold in Athletics (4x400m), one silver in men's football to mention but few.
