Ramadan Cup: 16 Teams Jostle For Title, As Tournament Kicks off May 5 By Admin Chairman Organizing Committee, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said the committee has fixed 5, May, 2019 for the commencement of Ramadan Football competition in Igando, Lagos state. Sixteen teams, according to Gbadamosi, would take part in the competition sponsored by the Managing Director of Evergreen Groups Limited, Chief Iyk Madu-Obi. Group A comprises Glory FC, Divine FC, Westfield FC and Citadel FC. Group B is made up of Sammy FC, Kenny FC, Sharp Strikers and Blessed FC. While we have Aje United, Kingbest FC, Oredegbe FC and Amuda Lotto FC in grouo C, Group D consists of IGFC, Future Stars, FC Pinnacle and EFCC. The annual football competition will see Glory FC slugging it out with Westfield FC in the opening match. Gbadamosi confirmed that the forthcoming Ramadan Cup would be sponsored by Madu –obi who has contributed to the football development in Igandoland. He urged all the participating teams to abide by the rules and regulations of the game. Some of the coaches who spoke to journalists expressed delight with the cup donor, who used his financial resources to support the competition annually. They prayed that God will give him the grace to sponsor the tourney in many years to come.
