  Randy Waldrum Will Take Super Falcons To The Next Level - Nene Super Falcons midfielder, Nene Abdulkareem described the Super Falcons Head Coach, Randy Waldrum, as a good and experienced coach who is capable of taking the team to the next level. Nene was part of the four players that made their debuts for the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the just concluded Turkey invitational tournament which the Super Falcons won. Nene who hails from Obehira, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State was an unused substitute in the first two fixtures against CSKA female football club and Uzbekistan which the Falcons won by lone goal respectively. "Seriously I can't really explain how I felt. It was overwhelming. "I was so excited, I couldn't even wait for the next day to come, so I will just believe its true. All thanks to God it turns out successfully. I thought I was dreaming until I woke up to see that it's wasn't a dream. "The relationship between myself and the other players was awesome. I was very comfortable. It was as if I have been with them for a while. Both on and off the pitch they encourage us. "I could remember when I came in, Assisat Oshoala in particular was telling me to put myself together. She is very encouraging and always urging me to do more, and Francesca Ordega was also lovely to be with. In fact, the whole team is very superb, I liked the way they carried us along", she said.   She however stepped in to the pitch in the Green, white Green shirt for the most populous African Nation against Equatorial Guinea and she recorded an assist when she came in as substitute. The Adana of Turkey super star was live earlier today on Jatto 102.7 Fm Sports Arena where she narrates her first experience with the senior female national team. When quizzed on whether she was nervous when she came in, Nene Abdulkareem says she was full of confidence even though she has not been in active club competition for a while due to the outbreak of covid-19. "I was not under pressure to deliver at the same time I just want to play my game and enjoy myself and at the same time I just want to put an effort not just coming in to the pitch for me to give my best and make a statement for myself. I would not rate myself that I performed well, because I was expecting to do better than that but all thanks to God it turns out that way and I hope for a better outing next time.", On Randy Waldrum, Nene said "I would describe him as someone that is very open minded and he is ready to teach everyone and carry us along. He knows what he wants from the players. He's very interactive and that makes it easy for the players. I rate him as one of the coaches that I have met." She did not forget to admonish parents and guidance not to discourage their girl child who wishes to play football, calling in government, stakeholders and philanthropist to invest in sports as she also thanked her family, friends, lovers and well-wishers in Okene, Kogi State and Nigeria. "I'm just urging and encouraging the family of those that their girl child would want to play football to give them the maximum support. Investing in sports is a great achievement and it will give great recognition to the state. You can believe other states will be doing better in sports and we are lagging behind. When we channel our energy in to sports, Kogi State will become great and there will be a lot of global awarding to them.
