Ranger Defeat Salitas FC In Confederation Cup

Nigeria's Aiteo Federation cup champion, Enugu Rangers started their campaign at the group stage of CAF confederation cup on a winning notes as they recorded 2-0 victory over Salitas FC of Burkina faso, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The game at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium started on sound notes for the Flying Antelope as Godwin Aguda opened the scoring as early as 2nd minutes of the encounter.

Salitas FC tried to come back into the game but were pegged back by wonderful display of Rangers goalkeeper Nana Bonsu and first half ended with host in firm control.

The second stanza resumed with Rangers still dominating the game and piled pressure on Salitas FC and it paid off when Bright Silas was brought down in a dangerous area around the box.

Defender Isaac Loute beautifully converted the free kick to make the game safe for Rangers who will be on the road to Tunisia on Match day two.

Bright Aguda is now the leading scorer for Rangers in the competition with 6 goals to his name.
