CAFCC: Rangers edged Bantu again, qualifies for group stage

Nigeria's Aiteo Cup champions, Rangers international continued its dominance over Bantu FC of Lesotho in the CAF confederation cup play off.
The Flying Antelope hosted Lesotho champions Bantu FC on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium and were defeated on both home and away. Rangers won both legs 4-2 on aggregate having won the first leg 2-1 and the second leg 2-1.
It was away side that shocked the home crowd through Fathoane in the early minutes, Rangers then have to turn the table against the away team through quick goals from Ajani Ibrahim and Godwin Aguda.
The Nigeria side missed glorious chances through Kelvin Itoya, Seka Paschal and Bright Silas but was able to hold till the end and progressed 4-2 on aggregates.
The victory ensured Rangers progression into the group stage of the competition.
Meanwhile, the club will know their group opponents Monday, when CAF conducted the draw at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
