Rangers Have Fair Draw In CAF Confederation Cup - Madu Chibuzor

Rangers International of Enugu assistant captain, Madu Chibuzor has described the Aiteo Cup champions draw against Bantu FC as a fair one, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Enyimba defender is confident of his team to edge out Lesotho champions when both teams meet at the Bantu stadium on 11th January, 2019.

He attributed their good outing in the championship to hard work and determination.

"From day one, we have always determined to beat any opponent and we have been working so hard to do the needful." The assistant captain told www.bsnsports.com.ng

He said that all they need to do is to record a good result in the first leg at the Bantu stadium then come back to Nigeria and seal their group stage ticket in Enugu.

"All we need to do is to get a favourable result away from home, then come to Nigeria to pick the group stage ticket in the second leg.

Nigeria Aiteo cup champion, Enugu Rangers had been drawn against Lesotho Premier League champion Bantu FC in the play off round of the 2019 CAF Confederations cup.

The draw which was conducted at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt pitched the Flying Antelope against relatively an easy opponent.

Bantu crashed out of the CAF champions League after they lost 5-2 aggregate to Vital Club of DR Congo.

Rangers on their part reached the play off round after edged USM Bee Abees of Algeria 2-0 over the two legs.

The first leg has been scheduled for Maseru the capital of Lesotho on January 11th, 12th, 13th 2019 with the second leg at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium a week later.
