FC Midtjylland have rewarded promising Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika with a new long-term contract following his first team breakthrough in the new season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The FC Ebedei product has put pen to paper on a new deal that runs until 2026.
Therefore, it also creates great joy in FCM that Onyedika has signed an extension of the contract, so that the two parties now have paper on each other until the summer of 2026.
- We are incredibly happy that Rapha has signed an extension. The level he has set for the season this season is creating great pride throughout the club. He has done even better than we had dared to hope for and he is just continuing to evolve battle by battle. It has been a pleasure to see, says sports manager Svend Graversen.
Back in the spring of 2019, Raphael Onyedika came to Ikast, where he started at the academy. Prior to that, he had spent three years at the FC Ebedei partner club in Nigeria.
The former Ebedei product was delighted stating: It feels really good to sign a new contract in Central Jutland. I'm happy and proud of that, but most of all I'm grateful for the club and all that they have done for me in recent years. I would like to pay that back by helping the team in every match, says the eternally humble Onyedika, who praises the people on the team:
- It's a great team to be a part of. There are many talented teammates and coaches and they have really contributed to my development this season. I'm sure it will continue.
