RB Salzburg Loan Out Golden Eaglets skipper

In order to secure more playing time, Austria premier league side, RB Salzburg have loaned out Nigeria's Golden Eaglets skipper Tijani Samson, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Salzburg in June 2020 signed Samson on a 5 year deal till 2025 after the player distinguished himself at the 2019 FIFA U17 World cup in Brazil.

The club released a statements after the loan deal was agreed.

"Samson Okikiola Tijani (18) from Nigeria is on loan from FC Red Bull Salzburg to Hartberg for a year.

The defensive midfielder was signed by Salzburg and signed a contract until summer 2025. As captain of the U17s in his home country Nigeria, Tijani led to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup and the second round of the World Cup," the club statements reads.

Before moving to Austria, Tijani played for Collins Edwin SC.
