..says Dikko, Pinnick Are Problem of Nigerian Football By Admin Proprietor, Bimo Sporting Club, Chinedu Okoye has advised the Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick and second vice president, Shehu Dikko and the entire board to resign and leave Nigeria football alone before they succeeded in burying the only sport that unify and gave millions of Nigerians joy. Okoye while speaking on phone with BSNSports.com.ng correspondent in Abuja added that their inability to successfully organize 'just' Super 8 play-off which may lead to 2018/19 non-league season is enough reason for the NFF board to resign and and leave Nigeria football. The retired professional referee in Switzerland advised those waiting to watch the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season to wait till March next year. Okoye explained further that it is sure that the league will not start this year, and in January, since most of the club in the league are government owned, all state governors will be more concerned about February general elections. That means, it cannot start until March and CAF has asked all football nation associations to end the league in May as African Nations Cup kicks off in June 2019. "I have been saying it that Amaju Pinnick and Shehu Dikko are problem of Nigeria football, both of them don't have clubs so, they don't mind if anything happens. In a sane country, they would have resigned by now for their failure to organise ordinary Super 8 play-off for the NNL clubs." "As it is, there may not be 2018/19 NPFL season because it is sure league won't kick off this year and since our clubs are government owned then we are in trouble because they will be concerned about February general elections. Therefore,the league may start until March. Don't forget that CAF asked all association nations to end the league in May." "Ask them, before getting to their positions in NFF and now, what are their investment in football development? They should resign and leave Nigeria football alone." The league has not started since it went on break before the world cup in June.
