Resumption of Football Activities: Date Of State League Will Be Communicated Soon - FCT FA Chairman

The Football Association Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mouktar Mohammed, has expressed his delight over the lifting of ban on Sporting activities in the country, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The President Task Force on Covid 19 on Thursday announced the lifting of ban on Sporting activities but warned that it must be carried out without fans.
While speaking with BSN Sports, the chairman said all safety protocol will be duly observed as directed by the government.
"We are very delighted and thankful to God for life to witness this day. We have been eager and patient. We have been having scenario planning as to how we can resume once it is safe and government has given permission. We intend to put safety first then we must clearly spell down the step by step guide on strict health and safety protocols on Wearing mask, Social Distancing, washing of hands and No Large crowd gatherings.
"Then we carefully see how the first few days of activity begins and level of compliance," he said.
He further confirmed that the date for suspended State League will be communicated to the concerned teams across the FCT.
" Very soon in the near future we will send out information as to when the state league can commence so the glory of football can return and we can deliver our mandate to grow and develop football in the FCT.
"We intend to have our officials present and they will act as compliance officers, but we expect the whole Covid 19 pandemic experience of all citizens and lovers of football to act responsibly and be good ambassadors by being responsible for each other. It is in the interest of the public to be vigilant and follow all guidelines so we maintain safety.
"Our advice to all stakeholders is we must all act responsibly and consider safety first", he concluded.
