Rivers Hoopers Star Moves To South Africa Sampson Adedeji South Africa's Basketball club, Cape Town Tigers have confirmed the captured of American born-Nigeria star, Ben Uzoh, BSNsports.com.ng can report Uzoh, 33, was part of Nigeria's 2015 Afrobasket winning squad in Tunisia. He was also a member of D'Tigers team which competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the 2019 FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup in China. Born in Houston, Texas, the widely travelled Uzoh played college ball with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and earned the first team All-Conference honors in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Cape Town-based club announced his arrival via the club news outlets on Tuesday. Guard Uzoh, who has played in the NBA with the Nets, Cavaliers, and Raptors was part of the Rivers Hooper's team that partake in the maiden edition of the African Basketball League ( BAL) at the Kigali Arena early this year.
