After recording not too impressive results in the past matches including crashing out of the CAF COnfederation cup, head coach Rivers United Stanley Eguma has said the team will bounce back soon, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Earlier in the season the Pride of Rivers was adjudged to be the most inform team in the country and also in the confederation cup.
The few days back lost out in the confederation cup play off round to Nigeria rival, Enyimba international via penalty shoot out.
The also lost in the league to Warri Wolves in the midweek game but Eguma has assured the team fans and supporters that soon the team will reclaim its old form and begins to win games.
"They are professionals and we have to still psych them up. We entered for these competitions and I think it's not yet over.
Things have not gone out of hand. We can still pick our pieces and face the league. They have to brace up," Eguma said to the club’s website.
With the CAF Confederation Cup out of the way for a while, Eguma knows where the "Pride of Rivers must direct their focus.
"Continental is not the end of life, because if you do well in the league, you can as well pick another ticket on the continent.
So we will try to psych them up and ensure that the come back to life and then give their best to enable us push in the league," he said.
Rivers United will face Akwa United in the match day 13 of the Nigeria Professional Football League as they begin their quest to bounce back.
