Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr will release the Eagles team list of 23 players on Friday, March 1st, 2019, www.bsnsports.com.ng reliably gathered.
The Franco-German Coach has concluded plans to make public the Eagles’ team list at least three weeks before the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) dead rubber match against Seychelles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State on March 23rd, 2019.
Three days after the Eagles will slug it out against visiting Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly match. Egypt have also qualified for the 2019 AFCON they are hosting.
“The Coach has told us that he would make public his team list for the Seychelles and Egypt matches in the first week of match, preferably Friday, March 1st this year,” the impeccable source told www.adantesports.com.ng.
The Coach has also excluded two experienced and back to form players namely team Captain John Mikel Obi and self-exiled wing attacker Victor Moses from the Seychelles and Egypt matches.
According to team sources “Rohr is not thinking of recalling Mikel and Victor Moses now for the Seychelles and Egypt matches coming up next month. He has told us that he wants the two players to cement their positions in their clubs and also gain back their full fitness before he would ask them to rejoin the team.
“That is if Moses who had already excused himself from the Eagles also feel like rejoining the team too. But right now I don’t think Rohr wants to invite them for the March matches”, the impeccable sources disclosed.
