By Sampson Adedeji

Nigeria's Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr is not happy over injury sustained by goalkeeper Francis Uzoho in their international friendly match against Brazil on Sunday.

BSN reports that Uzoho was in goal on Sunday when Nigeria surprisingly held 5-time World Champions, Brazil to a 1-1 at the Singapore National Stadium and was decent in goal before he sustained a ligament injury and was replaced by Maduka Okoye.

"Francis had a great game, we regret his injury. He will have examinations tomorrow (today), so we will see exactly what the problem.

"He is playing well in his club so he can come back with us. I hope he will not be out for a long time because we have two important matches to play. So, we have a lot of work to do”.

He further stated that he picked young Maduka ahead of Ikechukwu Ezenwa due to non competitiveness of the latter in recent time.

“Ezenwa didn’t play since few months ago, not even in the CHAN team, so we decided to play Maduka because of his competitiveness with his club," he concluded.
