Some players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria will know their fate of representing Nigeria at the World Cup after the friendly game against Congo DR according to coach Gernot Rohr.
The Super Eagles will take on Congo DR in a friendly game in preparation for the World Cup on Monday in Port Hacourt and according to Rohr some players will be dropped after the game.
Rohr stressed that from the 29 players presently in camp only 25 are going to make the trip to England for the friendly game against the Three Lions on the 2nd of June.
” I have in my head 20 of the 23 players going to the World Cup in Russia. Only 25 players will travel to England. The final list will be after the game against England”, Rohr revealed during their press parley earlier today.
His statement will further increase the fight for spots in the team by the players who have been in camp the past three days with two training session. Another session will be on this evening as the coach continue his search for players for Monday’s friendly game.
Super Eagles will play Three Lions of England on June 2 in another international friendly game ahead of the world cup finals.
