Rohr not happy with the contract situation of Agu, backroom staff

By Sampson Adedeji

Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has expressed his displeasure over the contract situation of some of his backroom staff in the national team, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN reports that the Franco-German trainer stated last week that his contract with the Super Eagles will end in the mid 2020 when 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier will be half completed but the country football body has not discussed with him about a new deal.

While speaking from his base in France, Rohr specifically spoke about the contract situation of Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu.

“Alloy is a very good goalkeepers’ trainer. He knows his job, very well. But he has no contract and NFF promised him one, for quite sometime.

"It (contract) should be given to him. When my staff are not okay, I can’t be happy. We are all one team," he said.

Rohr is expected to release the list of players that will face Selecao of Brazil in an international friendly slated for Singapore National Stadium in due course.
