Rohr Rues Missing Key Players
By Sampson Adedeji
After one loss and one draw in the international friendly matches played by the Nigeria senior national team, Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, has blamed the team's failure to win any of their last two matches on missing the key players BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The trio of midfielders Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo and striker Victor Osimhen pulled out of the friendly matches due to injuries and club commitments.
Rohr believed the absent players would have made a difference provided they were available.
"We are happy to have had this opportunity to be camped in Austria for 10 days.
It was a very good feeling to be together again after being away for 11 months, although we missed some key players," he stated.
Barring any issues, the duo of Osimhen and Etebo are expected back in the team for upcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
