Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed that his ambition to lead the Super Eagles to the next African Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup is the reason why he rejected offers from many countries that wanted his services, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Rohr's contract which expires in July 2020 has not been extended by his employer, Nigeria Football Federation.

However, the Franco-German tactician has said that he will abide by some of the conditions the NFF involves in his new contract but asks for free hands and non-interference while carrying out his duty as the head coach.

"I'm waiting for the (contract) proposal. Things could be very easy. I don't want more money, bonuses… just want to keep doing this.

"Personally, I received a few offers from other countries but I rejected them. I just want to take this team to the next AFCON, World Cup."

The NFF has said that it can only gives Rohr contract extension only when he is ready to be paid in Naira (Nigeria currency), start living in Nigeria and watch the Nigerian leagues. The conditions which he said he has no problem abiding by them.
