Romelu Lukaku on song as the Toons bows to Solskjaer's magic

It was a clash of the armies this evening in the EPL as the Toon Army looked set to throw the spanner in the wheels of the Red Army and their new found high under the new boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Tyneside

Typical of all sides led by the Spanish gaffer, Rafa Benitez, Newcastle is one of the trickiest teams to come up against as they can be surprisingly difficult to break down and require total concentration in order to avoid upset whenever big teams come knocking on their door

Benitez at half time must have been proud of his side's success at frustrating United and halting their new found knack of scoring early in the first 45 since OGS took over so that in its right, is a record albeit inconsequential as OGS would turn on the style in the second 45

With Odogwu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez named on the bench today, Benitez must have know it was just a matter of time before his team caved in and that was just what happened as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought on the Belgian hitman who scored with his very first touch of the ball, a feat that must have made Ole Gunnar Solskjaer proud as he too scored with his first touch in 1999 against Bayern which helped United win their first UCL (re-branded) under Sir Alex Ferguson

Wonderkid Marcus Rashford added to the misery for good measure, to make sure that the game was out of reach for the Toons who simply couldn't find the solution to the brilliance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

This win means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer becomes only the second manager ever in United's history to win his first 4 games behind Sir Matt Busby in 1949!

History making aside, United fans will be delighted to see Lukaku scoring 2 goals in his last 2 games and Rashford scoring 3 goals in his last 4 matches

In a post match press conference, OGS highlighted on the plans for the squad in order to ensure that the honeymoon lasts a little while longer

"First of all, I do not want to leave in May, I hope I get the job on a permanent basis.

We will be heading to Dubai to work on our fitness. As the season winds down, fitness becomes key and we need everybody to be in top form and fitness to deal with the demands of the league" said the happy Norwegian

With United enjoying a glorious outing thus far which has reflected in the goal difference column as well, United fans will surely be thrown into a quagmire over the choice of the next manager at the end of the season if this fantastic start is anything to go by but they won't be thinking that far right now as all that matters is getting points on the table, keeping more clean sheets and zooming into the top 4 where they rightly belong
