Rumour: Lionel Messi Will Join Inter

Rumour:
Lionel Messi has a 50% chance of staying with his current club, but could still join Paris Saint-Germain, according to a new report from Spanish radio. The report goes on to say that no matter what happens, the Argentine star will move to Miami in two years’ time. A meeting scheduled to take place with his father Jorge Messi, who is also his agent, present was reportedly canceled. The meeting, said to be held in singer Julio Iglesias’s residence in the Dominican Republic, was meant to discuss the player’s life should he choose to move to Paris, The meeting was not with PSG representatives directly, but would have meant a huge step in the #10’s proposed move to the Parisian club. But apparently, the election of Joan Laporta to the presidency of FC Barcelona changed things for Messi. While there is still a good chance he will move to a new club, there is said to be a possibility of him staying as well. Had Laporta not won, it is understood that there was no chance that Messi would stay. Perhaps even more intriguingly, the report says Messi’s father has told people that no matter what, his son will move to Miami in 2023, after two more seasons in Europe. Inter Miami and former Real Madrid and Manchester United star David Beckham recently hinted that he was in for Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. “I know that in Miami our fans want to see big stars,” he said. “We already have players like Gonzalo Higuaín and Blaise Matuidi, but in the future we want to have the opportunity to bring in big names. “Leo and Cristiano have been mentioned, they have been at the top of their game and they have been the best for the last 15 years.”
