Super Eagles Foes Croatia Claim Comeback Win Over Senegal By Admin Croatia rounded off their preparations ahead of the 2018 World Cup on a winning note following a 2-1 comeback win at home against Senegal on Friday. In action for Croatia were regulars like Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Dejan Lovren, Mario Mandzukic and Ivan Perisic while Sadio Mane, Idrissa Gueye, Kalidou Koulibaly featured for Senegal who are also Russia-bound. Ismaila Sarr gave Senegal the lead in the 48th minute before Perisic drew Croatia level on 63 minutes. And with 12 minutes remaining, Andrej Kramaric scored the winning goal to give Croatia the morale boosting win heading to the World Cup. In their last friendly against Brazil on Sunday at Anfield, Croatia lost 2-0 with the duo of Neymar and Roberto Firmino scoring for the four-time World Cup champions. The win against Senegal means Croatia won two and lost two of their four friendly games. Croatia will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on June 16 in their opening game at this year’s World Cup.
