Russia 2018: Super Eagles Miss Ifeanyi Ubah's $50,000 Bonuses

By Jude Okpara For losing 2-0 to Croatia in their first Group D match at the ongoing World Cup, players and officials of the Super Eagles missed an opportunity to pocket a special bonus of $50,000 promised them by the Chairman of Capital Oil, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. The team also missed another $50,000 for failing to score a goal in the match. Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) sponsors; AITEO has promised the team the amount for every goal scored in the match. Dr. Ubah, who spoke to The AUTHORITY in Leningrad after the encounter said it was unfortunate that the players performed very poorly despite the level of preparation and support given to them by the NFF and the Nigerian government.
