Stakeholders and concerned football enthusiasts have expressed concern over the poor performance of Super Eagles in the ongoing Russia 2018 World cup.
As the team prepares to tackle Iceland on Friday in its second match that has been described as a make or mar outing for the team, the Chairman of fast rising nationwide league side, Phoenix Athletics Sports Club Olalekan Ogunbanjo, was also quick to add that the Super Eagles would need all the luck in the world to survive from what he calls 'a self-induced turbulence' in the world cup.
" This team would need all the luck in the world to survive in this tournament," Ogunbanjo quipped.
According to the boss of the Ekiti based side, the team lacks genuine quality and the necessary technical depth to do well in this tournament.
" It is a fact that you can't give what you don't have and that's the issue with this present team. The team have always flattered to deceive in terms of quality and technical efficiency.
" Going into the next and obviously the most important game, the coach must rally his boys to give their all and fight for each other. And play the Nigerian way to achieve result, "he advised.
