Sadiq Joins Spanish Second Division Club Almeria

Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq has left Serbian club FK Partizan for Spanish second division side UD Almeria for a reported fee of £4.5million pounds, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Almeria announced Sadiq’s signing on their verified Twitter handle on Monday. The 23-year-old former Roma player joined Almeria on a five-year contract. “Umar Sadiq is Rojiblanco! UD Almería and FK Partizan agreed the transfer of the striker for five seasons. Welcome!” Almeria wrote on Twitter. Since joining Partizan Belgrade on an initial loan deal in July 2019, though, he’s really hit his stride. After a successful first season in Serbia, Partizan snapped him up on a permanent deal and he continued to shine for the SuperLiga side. His impressive tallies of 23 goals and 19 assists in 52 appearances for the Black-Whites attracted attention from elsewhere, with his manager, Savo Milosevic, valuing him at up to €20m. Sadiq could make his debut for Almeria on Saturday, as they travel to Logroñés for their third league match of the season.
