Umar Sadiq was the hero for Almeria as he scored the only goal in their 1-0 win at Girona, in the Spanish second division on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Sadiq was also on target last weekend in Almeria’s 4-1 home win against Lugo.
Umar who has been in scintillating form this season following his move from the Bulgarian side, Partizan Belgrade scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute pushing Almeria up the log as they continue to dream for a return to the Spanish top-flight next season.
The goal of an assist from Brian Rodriguez makes it the 14th Segunda goal for Sadiq Umar.
The former AS Roma striker has truly justified the huge amount spent on him before the commencement of the season scoring 16 goals in all competitions this season.
The Olympics bronze medalist winner has had his goals pushed Almeria to second on the log with 55 points from 28 league games.
