In a bid to make the league attractive and to stabilize the country's football governing body has supported the league with R10 million. There has been public outcry concerning South Africa women league where the majority of the masses believed women have achieved more in football for South Africa than men. According to SAFA president, Danny Jordan: "If we want the success of Banyana Banyana to continue, then we must have a national league. We want to launch that league after the World Cup, probably on August 9 because it is Women’s Day,” said Jordaan. "We have already set aside R10m for this league as a contribution to set that league on its way. "To put away the doubts, it is going to happen. We’ve allocated R10m and that league will kick-off. South Africa women league will kick off after FIFA Women World billed for France in June. South Africa has submitted a bid to host the 2023 Women World cup.
