Bordeaux and Super Eagles winger Samuel Kalu has said that he is ready to face Libya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Uyo (today) Saturday, BSN Sports reports.
The former KAA Gent youngster who had a lively debut for the Super Eagles in the 3-0 win over Seychelles is now hungry for more.
“Have I helped my chances of playing on Saturday? As a winger, you want to play and get your teammates in scoring positions and score goals.
“I’ve always been the same when you get given an opportunity, you’ve got to take it and grab it with both hands.
“I don’t know what is happening on Saturday – but if selected I’ll be ready.”
“One thing I won’t ever forget is the opportunity given to me by coach Gernot Rohr to prove myself in the senior national side. My gratitude to him for the chance.
The Super Eagles led by Coach Gernot Rohr will take on the Coach-less Middleteranean Knights of Libya (today) Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
