Ighalo completed his brace in 36th minute of the game and ensured that Al Shabab FC returned to the locker room with a 1-2 lead The former Watford FC attacker netted the third goal in the 64th minute but VAR overruled the goal. Al Shabab FC was reduced to 10 men in the 91st minute as Lichkonocski was sent off before Ighalo was subbed off in the 93rd minute for Al Tambakti.
