Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain submits bid to co-host 2021 FIFA U20 With 2019 edition of FIFA U20 World Cup to kick off on Thursday in Poland, three Asian countries have submitted bid to co -host 2021 of the competition. Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and United Arab Emirate on Wednesday decided to submit joint bid for the biennial competition. Out of the three countries only Bahrain is yet to host any FIFA organized tournament. Saudi Arabia hosted same U20 World cup in 1989 and Portugal won it while UAE hosted in 2003 and Brazil clinched the trophy. The world soccer governing body will announce the new host after the 2019 edition of the competition.
