Scottish Premier League: Balogun Heaps Praises On Gerrard

Nigeria's Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, has heaped plaudits on the former coach of Glasgow Rangers Steven Gerrard, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
It was the former Liverpool star that facilitated Balogun move o the Ibrox stadium after a difficult spell with the English Premier League club, Brighton Hove Albion.
Gerrard during the winter transfer decided to return to the Premier League as the manager of Aston Villa.
Speaking on his departure, the former Mainz 05 defender said Gerrard spent 3 amazing year's with the club and it was a shame he left.
"it's now clear to many that at some point Steven Gerrard will go 'home' and become a Liverpool manager.
There had to be a stopover and Aston Villa was a very good possibility.
"I came here in 2020 after a rather difficult period in my career and Gerrard and his team handed me incredible confidence in myself.
"It was a shame he left because Steven Gerrard has had a mission here in Glasgow for three years, built something and had done an outstanding job," he said.
Under Gerrard, Balogun was among the players that delivered the league title after a long period of wait.
