Sebastian Osigwe Receives Negative Results From Coronavirus Test, Set To Hit Super Eagles Camp

Sebastian
FC Lugano of Switzerland goalkeeper, Sebastian Osigwe could be on his way towards making his first appearance with the Super Eagles later this month, following a negative result he received from a second coronavirus test at his European base, BSNSports.com.ng reports. In contrast with scary reports that emerged last week, few hours after his name was included in the Eagles’ list of invitees for the double-qualifiers against Sierra Leone in the race to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Osigwe has now been cleared to fly into the Nigerian camp. This much was confirmed by the communications department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), which points out that the former Kries FC of Switzerland shot-stopper is now free to join the Super Eagles training camp in the new week in Benin City after he tested negative for Coronavirus. Consequently, Osigwe will be one of the first arrivals in the Eagles’ camp on Monday, following which he will battle for the No 1 jersey with Maduka Okoye and Daniel Akpeyi to line out against the Leone Stars in Benin City on November 13 and in Freetown four days later. The Eagles lead their qualifying group with six points from two matches. Benin and Lesotho are the other teams in this section.
