Both of them started the game for their respective clubs, CD Leganes and Almeria and it was Umar that netted the opening goal in the 8th minute to silent the home team. Almeria was in total control  throughout the first stanza but the game switched gear in the second half and Leganes seized the control of the game. Umar scored the second goal for Almeria in the 70th minute but VAR overruled the goal before Borja Baston netted the equalizer in the 78th minute. Omeruo turned hero in the 95th minute with a well taken goal to give Leganes a well deserved 2-1 win and maximum points.
