Semi Ajayi Scores In Rotherham Home Loss
By Niyi Busari
Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi 52nd minute equalizer for Rotherham was not enough to secure at least one point for the hosts against Norwich City, BSNSports.com.ng reports
Keeny McLean put the visitors ahead from Teemu Pukki's assist in the 45th minute before Semi Ajayi's restored parity for the home team 7 minutes after the second half had commenced.
Ajayi who played a central midfield role advanced forward as his team formed an attack and brilliantly converted from Ben Wiles pass.
Semi Ajayi has had a great scoring record this season, as a defensive midfielder, scoring 6 goals in the last 5 games, is commendable. He scored a brace against Blackburn and QPR, and also scored one goal against Norwich City and Reading FC.
Rotherham United are in the relegation waters (22nd position on the log) having garnered 36 points from 38 games. Though, the team can escape being relegated if they can earn reasonable results from the remaining 8 matches.
