Senegal’s President Rewards Teranga Lions With $87,000 Each For AFCON Victory By Our Reporter Senegal’s president, Macky Sall, has rewarded players of the national team, Teranga Lions, around $87,000 each for winning the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Senegal defeated Egypt on penalties in the final on Sunday in Cameroon to claim their first-ever Nations Cup trophy. For their title-run, President Sall also gifted the players plots of land in the nation’s capital, Dakar. The president also paid tribute to the players and coach for their efforts, saying: “Here you are, on top of Africa. Thanks to your fighting spirit, your talent and your commitment, you have brought back to us the pride and honour that marks great people.
