Senegal To Host 2020 Beach AFCON

The CAF Executive Committee met on Thursday, September 10, 2020 via video conference to discuss the future of African competitions and other related issues, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Rising from the meeting, Senegal has been declared host of the 2020 Beach African Cup Of Nations.

The two finalists will represent Africa at the 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Russia.

According to the African football governing body, details of the final tournament will be communicated in due course.

The executive committee of the Senegalese Football Federation announced that it will present Senegal's candidacy for the organization of the final phase of the CAN.

"With the approval of the Ministry of Sports, it's done and the Lions will play at home." Senegal Football Federation was quoted to state their readiness to host the tournament.

Senegal have won five finals of the CAN of beach soccer.
