Serie A: Obi Eager To Represent Salernitana

Few weeks to the start of the new Italia Serie A season, newly acquired Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi is eager to represent his new club Salernitana, BSNSports.com.ng can reports.
Obi joined the newly promoted club last week from Serie B side Verona and is already in high spirit to return to the elite division in Italy.
During his unveiling, the soft smiling player thanked the club hierarchy for their trust and said he is ready to repay their fate and trust.
“I am excited about this new adventure and I can’t wait to take the field to defend these colors together with my new teammates. I thank the club for their trust and all the fans for their welcome.
“I could not be more honored to wear the Salernitana shirt in the year of his great return to Serie A, Forza Salernitana," he said.
The left-footed player is not new to the Serie A has he had played for Inter Milan in the past .
Obi last represented Nigeria's Super Eagles at Russia 2018 World Cup under coach Gernot Rohr.
