Serie A: Okereke Out For Three Weeks Sampson Adedeji Newly promoted Italian Serie A side, Venezia will have to continue their survival fight without Nigeria's forward David Okereke who has been ruled out of action for three weeks, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The former Nigeria's Dream Team striker joined Venezia last summer on loan from the Belgian side Club Brugge. Okereke has to be replaced earlier on Saturday league match against Hella Verona in the 7th minute after he sustained muscle strain injury. According to the report from Italy, the hardworking attacker was diagnosed on Tuesday and was ruled out of action till January 2022. "David Okereke underwent a diagnostic on Tuesday after the injury he suffered against Verona. “An injury to the flexor was found for the Venezia forward, which will lead to a stoppage of about three weeks," the statement said. Since joining Venezia, Okereke has played 13 matches for the club and scored 4 goals.
