Osimhen who replaced Dries Mertens in the 72nd minute scored Napoli's 5th in the 80th minute with the goal his second in three games having also scored one in Napoli's 2-1 win against Sampdoria on 11th April. Lorenzo Insigne opened scoring for Napoli from the penalty spot in the 7th minute and Politano made it 2-0 five minutes later. Lorenzo Insigne completed his brace eight minutes into the restart and Dries Mertens made it 4-0 five minutes past the hour-mark. Ciro Immobile and Milinkovic-Savic scored for Lazio in the 71st and 74th minute respectively with a comeback in view but Osimhen killed off their spirited comeback hopes when he made it 5-2 for Napoli with 10 minutes left on the clock. Napoli on 63 points remained 5th with the win two points adrift Atalanta and Juventus who currently occupied the 3rd and 4th position, three points adrift AC Milan who are currently second.
