Serie A: Simy Nwankwo Scores 16th Goal Of The Season In Crotone's Loss
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Less than a week after scoring his 150th goal for the Stadio Ezio Scida giants, Simy Nwankwo again scored this afternoon as Crotone fell 3-2 to Spezia making their survival task seemingly impossible.
The defeat is Serse Cosmi men’s fourth defeat on the bounce and it's becoming unlikely they'll survive the drop with their poor form.
At a time like this where the Nigerian is doing the needful and also trying his best to bang the goals for Crotone, their defense had really let the team down and with interest coming of late from clubs in Italy and other parts of Europe, it's unlikely he'll remain with the team next season.
Simy Nwankwo joined Crotone from Portuguese side Gil Vicente five years ago and with 151 goals already to his name in their colours, if he decides to call it a quit with them now, then he'll leave as a legend.
Crotone are languishing in the 20th position with 15 points, nine points from safety and will host Udinese next Saturday at the Stadio Ezio Scida
