Crotone with the help of Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Simy Nwankwo pegged back the champion, Juventus and secured a valuable draw. Nwankwo opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the game from the penalty spot despite Juventus dominating the possession. Newly acquired striker Alvaro Morata leveled the game for the Old Lady in the 27th minute to prevent Crotone securing all the maximum points. Nwankwo continued to underlined his importance to the team with his performance for the club. He played pivotal role last season as his goal helped Crotone back into the elite division and he also emerged top scorer in the Lega 2.
