Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen once again underlined his importance to Italia Serie A side, Napoli, as he secured his effort for Naples to get a vital point against Venezia, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
Since returning from an injury he sustained in November 2021, the energetic attacker is yet to start a game for the Naples based club but has appeared as a substitute.
After a scoreless first half with to much many question on the the field of play, Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 59th minute with a well-taken header.
His pace and energy continue to pose serious threat to the backline of Venezia who also have Nigeria compatriot Tyrone Ebuehi and David Okereke in their lineup.
However, Okereke also posed a danger to the defence lineup of Napoli, with the missing services of Senegalese defender Khalidou Koulibalily who is away at the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Ebuehi who sustained a head injury in the game after he collided with the centre referee was later sent in the 90th minute for a dangerous play
The former OSC Lille frontman was substituted in the 87th minute by Petagna who later sealed the game as he double the advantage for Naples.
