Bayelsa United defeated Ashanti Afrigold of Guinea in the preliminary round and secure passage to the first round. Sfaxien last week suffered a 1-0 defeat in the Tunisia Super Cup with Anayo Iwuala netting the only goal of the game. The team resumed training this week in readiness for the crucial match against the Nigeria federation cup champions. Bayelsa will host the first leg at Samson Siasia stadium in Yenegoa with second leg coming up in Rades, Tunisia.
