Shift of State FA's Election Date By NFF In The Best Interest of Football - Pascal
By Niyi Busari
Super Eagles coordinator, Patrick Pascal has said that the decision taken by the NFF to shift the date of states FAs election is in the best interest of the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Super Eagles player argued that the general public is aware of some state FA chairman who hoard the election forms and denied interested stakeholders the opportunity of buying forms to contest for their different positions in the board.
The former 3sc defender insisted that the shift in date of the election will allow all states to settle all aggrieved members.
"The shift of date by the NFF is the best thing decision they have taken recently. We are all aware that some state FA board are in court over the election while some hide election forms away from the reach of interested stakeholders who eye one position or the other. " he told Basic Sports in Nigeria.
"Remember that some states are in court asking the court to stop their state FA election. With the postponement all affected states will have enough time to settle within themselves."
NFF after an e-meeting shifted the 36 states and FCT FAs election till May/June.
