Shorunmu Backs Uzoho to Shine Against Seychelles

By Admn Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu is backing Francis Uzoho to continue his impressive form in goal for the Super Eagles on Saturday against Seychelles. Uzoho who kept a clean sheet at the 2018 world cup match against Iceland and made some other good saves in the competition before Nigeria crashed out in the first round. Shorunmu is confident that his experience at the Mundial will count for him now and in the future “I don’t have any fears because Uzoho has performed very well at the World Cup,” Shorunmu told Goal. “He has acquired a lot of experience too at the World Cup he just needs to keep doing his best. “Uzoho is the best we have at the moment now but if anything happens I think we have a good cover and I don’t have any doubt on the two reserved goalkeepers.” Uzoho is the first choice goalkeeper for Nigeria, he has fought off competition from Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi. Uzoho left Deportivo B to join Elche in the Spanish league second division in other to be a regular.
